2021-22 Annual Report

2021-22 was another difficult year for the nonprofit sector, which continues to face immense challenges in supporting communities through the pandemic. We know that the years ahead will prove challenging as well. CCVO is committed to advocating for support for the sector and working together to move forward toward a collective, equitable recovery. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do. Our communities would not be where they are without you.

CCVO honours and acknowledges the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani); the Tsuut'ina; the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations; and the Métis Nation (Region 3); who have lived on and cared for these lands for centuries. We are committed to listening, learning, and doing the work along our journey of reconciliation.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD CHAIR AND PRESIDENT & CEO

While 2021-22 was another year of firsts for CCVO, there’s one thing that hasn’t changed – our deep appreciation and respect for Alberta’s nonprofits. Not only their ability to mobilize rapidly in support of our communities, but also their resilience in providing the level of support needed to address increasingly complex challenges over the past 30 months. CCVO is proud to be part of this sector and we will continue to emphasize the impacts of and on nonprofits, and advocate for crucial, substantial investment in our communities. Heading into the next year, we will continue to focus our strategy, brand, and engagement on advocating for and supporting the development of a strong provincial voice for nonprofits.
