Join the #nonprofitsvote Campaign! Nonprofit Vote Kit Now Available
by Lina Khatib, CCVO Policy Analyst
CCVO has launched #nonprofitsvote, an exciting campaign to encourage nonprofit staff, board members, volunteers, and people who access the services of nonprofits, to engage in the upcoming provincial election. The campaign is a nonpartisan effort to ‘get out the vote’ by increasing nonprofit voter participation in the Alberta 2019 provincial election.
With 26,000 nonprofits operating across Alberta, we can use our collective strength to ensure that provincial parties address issues that are crucial to all Albertans. Join the movement by committing to vote and talking to others about the importance of voting.
Nonprofits – from the arts, education, and health communities – have already pledged to vote as part of the #nonprofitsvote campaign. They are examples of the difference that individuals within the nonprofit sector can make to support increased voter turnout. Click here to see which #nonprofitsvote supporters have already pledged to vote.
