Alberta Nonprofit Survey

The Alberta Nonprofit Survey takes an annual snapshot of the health and experience of Alberta’s nonprofits to capture information on finances, demand for programs and services, staffing, and the future economic outlook of organizations. It is the only source of Alberta-specific research on the experience of the nonprofit sector. The survey results are used not only by government and nonprofits, but also for CCVO to create new resources to support your policy work better.

The survey series was initiated in 2009 to gauge the impact of the global recession, and has expanded to provide a lens on the state of the nonprofit sector in Alberta. Questions in the 2018 survey focused on employment standards changes, minimum wage, and the upcoming provincial election.

As with all surveys, the responses not only tell us an important story of what has been, but may perhaps act as a guide to where we need to focus our attention in order to maintain the critical services and supports that Albertans deserve. Responses from the Alberta Nonprofit Survey influence our asks of government so that CCVO can continue to advocate as a voice for Alberta's nonprofit sector.

2018 Alberta Nonprofit Survey results will be released October 2018.

If you need help interpreting or making statements based on the survey data, please contact CCVO's policy & research staff at policy@calgarycvo.org.
