Do you have a passion for getting people connected and supported? Do you have skills in outreach, recruitment or marketing? Then consider joining the Membership Committee at CCVO as we work to realize some exciting goals and projects for the next year.
Membership is a critical aspect of CCVO's work, and we’re ensuring that membership base is strong through developing a membership satisfaction and needs survey, a broad-based recruitment campaign, redevelopment of communications materials and exploration of increased member benefits.
Who Can Volunteer?
Members of the committee should have, or be keen to develop, a thorough knowledge of CCVO’s goals and activities and the voluntary sector as a whole. You must also be a member of CCVO yourself or a staffperson/volunteer of a CCVO member organization.
Role of the Committee
Beyond our specific priority areas, the Membership Committee makes recommendations to the Board regarding the CCVO membership policy, the membership development strategy and implementation plan, and supports CCVO staff in implementing the plan.
The Membership Committee will also work with the CCVO Communications Committee to leverage ideas and strategies, and to ensure our messaging and work in the community is consistant with the CCVO membership communication strategy, key messages and membership communication plan.
Committee Term
Members of the Committee are appointed by the Board of Directors for a one-year, renewable term and meet four times a year for regular meetings, on an ad-hoc basis as required, and also meet for a yearly planning retreat.
