The intersecting rings of our logo represent the network of the CCVO and its membership, and the links that unite us across common issues. Differing spheres of various sizes and colours represent the myriad voluntary sector organizations in Calgary connecting within and across sectors, with differing levels of government, all contributing their collective strength to a vibrant community.

New Alberta PC Leader Ed Stelmach

As part of CCVO's policy work at the provincial level, we met with all candidates running for the leadership of the PC Party, including the new leader Ed Stelmach. Below is some information about Ed Stelmach, including his responses to two sets of CCVO questions about the voluntary sector, and a link to his website.

The following is the first set of questions CCVO asked all candidates:

1) As Premier of Alberta, what policy and operational steps would you take to enhance the ability of the nonprofit/voluntary sector to help maintain and build strong and vibrant communities across Alberta?

2) How would you bring the community-based knowledge and expertise of nonprofits and charities to the policy development process?

3) Do you support the Alberta Nonprofit /Voluntary Sector Initiative?

Below is the final question CCVO asked the three final candidates:

As Premier of Alberta, how would you build on the strengths of Alberta’s nonprofits and charities and address the challenges they face?
