Alberta Nonprofit/Voluntary Sector Initiative (ANVSI)
On July 18, 2006 , Alberta's Minister of Community Development Denis Ducharme announced the new ANVSI initiative. The council includes nonprofit/voluntary sector leaders and Alberta government representatives and they will develop a framework to guide and strengthen the relationship between the Government of Alberta and the province's nonprofit/voluntary sector. CCVO's CEO and President, Katherine van Kooy, is a member of the council.

A new site from Service Alberta with information tailored for Alberta's nonprofits and charities including links to grants and funding programs, licensing and registration, forms, publication and common sector questions. This website is part of the ANVSI initiative.
Voluntary Sector Forum
The mandate of the Voluntary Sector Forum is to provide pan-Canadian leadership and coordination in the voluntary sector, on horizontal, sector-wide issues. The VSf website includes information and resources about The Accord Between the Government of Canada and the Voluntary Sector, the Codes of Good Practice on Funding and Policy Dialogue, advoacy, liability, financing, and more.
The Accord Between the Government of Canada and the Voluntary Sector
The Accord is a framework that represents a public commitment by the Government of Canada and the voluntary sector to more open, transparent, consistent and collaborative ways for the two sectors to work together.
The Codes of Good Practice on Funding and Policy Dialogue
The Codes of Good Practice provide concrete examples of good practices that can improve the relationship between the Government of Canada and the Voluntary Sector. Each focuses on making good practices common practice throughout the Government and the Voluntary Sector. They are meant to evolve and will require review, analysis, evaluation and reporting on their use as a tool in meeting the Accord's goals.
Wild Rose Foundation
The Wild Rose Foundation is lottery funded agency created by the Government of Alberta that provides funding assistance under the Quarterly Grants Program to volunteer-based, registered non-profit or charitable community service agencies and to non-government organizations under the International Development Grants Program
