What do organizations working on domestic violence, clean water, poverty, and art for cancer patients have in common? Innovation.
Around 80 people gathered at the Kahanoff Centre to participate in the CCVO's first annual ceremony to present the Calgary Nonprofit Innovation Awards. Honoured guests included Mayor Naheed Nenshi, and Teresa Woo Paw,MLA for Calgary-Mackay and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Employment and Immigration.
As a celebration of innovation, risk-taking, and creativity, the event provided an opportunity for the four winning nonprofit organizations to receive their $2500 awards. They also shared their stories of innovation in a panel discussion which provided attendees with opportunity to ask questions. Click here for the full article.
