Proposed Community Spirit Fund matches individual gifts – important news
The Government of Alberta’s proposed donation-matching program could have significant implications for the sector. Details about its goals, budget and allocation plan are still being determined. CCVO participated in a meeting with the Fund’s MLA committee and provided a written submission, available on CCVO’s website along with background information, links and summaries.
The MLA committee will release a workbook (likely in early June) and ask for your input on their recommendations for the Fund. The timeline for input will be very short. Given the Fund’s potential impact, we urge you to get involved and provide your comments. Watch for more information from the government and CCVO.
