CCVO Celebrates 5 years at 2009 AGM

Bill C-4, the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, has passed its third Reading in the Senate and received Royal Assent this month. The Bill should become law shortly.

The Canada Revenue Agency has released a new Checklist for Charities on Avoiding Terrorist Abuse to help charities identify vulnerabilities to terrorist abuse and develop good management practices. The checklist can be a reference for any charity – whether you carry out your work within Canada, or internationally.
