It provides background information for considering the implications of a general shortage of skilled labour and the increasingly competitive market conditions in Calgary and across the province.

Keynote speaker Bonnie Shiell, Research Manager with the HR Council for the Voluntary and Non-profit Sector provided an overview of her organization's work to address HR issues in the sector, and current challenges including attracting and retaining staff in the sector. She also provided strategies planning tips organizations can use to help plan for their future labour and HR needs.
