An updated pan-Canadian snapshot and summary report of the second gathering of counterparts held on February 9-10 2009 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The focus of the gathering was building sustainable relationships between the nonprofit/voluntary sector and provincial/territorial governments.

CCVO's submission to the MLA Advisory Committee on the Charitable Gaming Model Review was submitted on November 20, 2009.

Recent articles in the Calgary Herald regarding aldermanic "Report Cards" and expenditures have raised concerns with a number of organizations. Because CCVO has been approached by other groups about this coverage, we would like to share a modified version of an unpublished submission to the Herald's Opinion-Editorial page.

Bill C-4, the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, has passed its third Reading in the Senate and received Royal Assent this month. The Bill should become law shortly.
