The Alberta Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Workforce Council has developed the Workforce Initiatives Inventory to provide a forum for nonprofit organizations to obtain and share information about nonprofit workforce initiatives throughout Alberta. The inventory is divided into four categories: Human Resources Management, Leadership Development, Information and Research and Shared Space and Services.

Including new information on emerging Policy issues, HR issues,and Shared Practices, this issue of the CCVO Newsletter looks forwards to a busy Fall 2008 and Winter 2009. A new section, Focus on Members, features articles on Youth Singers of Calgary and Spread the Love.

Sharing for Social Change brought together over 240 nonprofits and charities on June 18 2008 to discuss shared options and services that could help increase the capacity of the nonprofit sector. Full conference proceedings (7.54MB) are attached.

This issue of the CCVO Newsletter includes an update on the BBB Charity Review Program, Low-Income Transit Passes, and features an article on member organization Calgary Arts Partners in Education Society (CAPES).
