Workforce issues have changed substantially over the past year for the nonprofit sector in Calgary. The economic downturn has affected all aspects of organizational life including funding, service delivery and workforce. In order to understand the changes the sector’s workforce is undergoing, in summer 2009 CCVO launched the Calgary HR Initiative Workforce Needs Survey.

An annual survey of salaries in the nonprofit sector. Findings are available to participating organizations only.

CCVO in conjunction with other Alberta nonprofit leaders is pleased to release the results of the province-wide online survey the Impact of the Current Economic Climate on Alberta's Nonprofits and Charities. This province-wide snapshot indicates early signs of reductions in earned income, corporate donations and sponsorship, and donations of stock.
