Imagine Canada's Ottawa Reports (March 2009 Edition) features news and updates on Federal Government events and developments which are of importance to the nonprofit and charitable sector.

Over 75 nonprofits and 'caring companies' signed this open letter by Imagine Canada to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, which calls for continued support and funding for the voluntary sector in the 2009 budget. The letter was also published in the January 15 2009 issue of The Globe and Mail.

Imagine Canada's submission to the Independent Blue Ribbon Panel on Grants and Contribution Programs, which CCVO was a signatory of.

In May 2006, CCVO, along with 14 other Canadian voluntary sector organizations, commented on and endorsed an Imagine Canada submission about the proposed Federal Accountability Act. Imagine Canada presented the submission to a Parliamentary Committee and responded to questions for over half an hour. The Committee’s questions focused on the procurement of federal government contracts and why it is important to the sector, and issues of personal liability for directors.
